Cameco’s Northern Saskatchewan Scholarship – Application Process Opens

Cameco’s Northern Saskatchewan Scholarship is a dedicated program, specifically for residents of Saskatchewan’s north who are seeking funding for post-secondary education.
Today, with the impacts of COVID-19, there are many unknowns about when and how the post-secondary year will unfold later this fall. However, Cameco is steadfast in its commitment to northern students. To ensure northern students have the best possible opportunities, Cameco has opened the 2021 application process and, as in past years, designated July 15 as the application deadline.
The scholarship offers up to $5,000 per student each year. With the opportunity to renew up to four terms, this means some students could have their entire degree or certificate funded through the program. A total of $50,000 has again been allocated in 2020.

Since launching the program two years ago, Cameco has provided funding for 33 scholarships to northern Saskatchewan students. Their studies are diverse, ranging from nursing and education to mining, geology and management studies.
