Cameco Remains a Top 10 Employer in Canada

February 6, 2013

For the fourth consecutive year, Cameco (TSX: CCO; NYSE: CCJ) has been selected one of the 10 Best Companies To Work For in Canada by the Financial Post.

The annual competition recognizes fast-growing private sector companies in Canada that offer exceptional career advancement opportunities together with leading compensation and benefits. Employers are evaluated on a set of criteria that also includes work atmosphere, training and skills development opportunities, and community involvement.

“We are pleased to be recognized again as a top 10 employer as we celebrate our 25th anniversary as a company,” said Cameco’s president and CEO Tim Gitzel. “This acknowledgement confirms that we are doing what it takes to attract and retain the top people needed to fuel our success.”

In 2010, Cameco was named a Top 100 Employer in Canada by the Globe and Mail and has finished in the top 10 in every year it has entered the competition. Cameco has also been recognized as a top Saskatchewan employer by the Saskatoon StarPhoenix for the fourth year and a Best Diversity Employer by The Globe and Mail for the past three years.

Cameco, with its head office in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, is one of the world’s largest uranium producers. The company’s uranium products are used to generate electricity in nuclear energy plants around the world, providing one of the cleanest sources of energy available today. Cameco’s shares trade on the Toronto and New York stock exchanges.

As used in this news release, “Cameco” or the “company” means Cameco Corporation, a Canadian corporation and its subsidiaries and affiliates unless stated otherwise.
